Everyone is on a journey to wholeness and well-being, and the ability to embrace change is one of the keys to finding success on that journey.
I am a Los Angeles-based psychotherapist and life coach who has been in practice for more than 30 years. Through a safe, nurturing and collaborative approach to psychotherapy, I provide my clients with an environment in which they can begin to embrace change as they explore the obstacles and life situations that have thwarted their well-being so they are able to move forward in a more inspired, fulfilling and joyful way.
My style of therapy is wholistic, meaning I integrate principles, tools, and practices that derive from many therapeutic approaches, largely consisting of methodologies focusing on healing-oriented techniques that explore and process challenging emotional and relational experiences to achieve positive changes in behavior, and help create true mind-body connections in which clients are encouraged to think about what they feel and feel about what they think so that healing can take place.
People often ask me what is the difference between a psychotherapist and a life coach.
As a therapist I am concerned with my client’s thoughts and feelings, and helping them work through past and or present traumas and crises. I often work with them to explore and make connections as to repeated patterns.
My work as a life coach is goal oriented and I help my coaching clients discover their strengths and life purpose. I am very clear to my coaching clients that I am not acting in the capacity of a psychotherapist. I create a powerful partnership with my coaching clients and hold them accountable as they take authentic actions to achieve their goals.
