A licensed psychotherapist for more than 20 years, and based in Los Angeles, California, I was born in New York City and grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut. From an early age, I loved performing, be it in the form of public speaking, sports in school, or plays (many of which I created myself as a child) – all disciplines that would provide me with my first insights into the way in which people behave, think, and feel. At the age of 15, while attending The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, New York, I practiced self-hypnosis for my migraines, and my interest and passion for the mind-body connection was born.
I began my career as an actor, after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre from the University of Southern California. This early career path provided me with a valuable springboard for a deeper study of the human psyche and a passion for helping others explore their feelings and behaviors to effect positive change within themselves.
I received my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, and a Doctorate in Psychology from the Southern California University for Professional Studies. I am also a certified COR.E Performance Dynamic Specialist in which I offer coaching to athletes, and am a member of the International Coach Federation.
With more than thirty years’ experience in psychotherapy, medical hypnosis and visualization practices, I work with a broad range of clientele, specializing in post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic/anxiety disorders, grief, death and dying, couples therapy, and life transitions.
